Mike Gagliano - ROAM and Go/No Go
This dynamic, cutting edge presentation is transforming the way the fire service views air management, tactical safety and firefighter survival. This fast moving workshop utilizes dramatic audio/video, stimulating discussions, and everyday scenarios to create a synergistic learning experience where the students lead, as well as learn.

At the center of the class are: The Need, The Mandate, and The Solution. Each area will be covered in detail and students will be provided practical information, along with drills that can be taken back to their departments.

The consistent comment heard from firefighters across the spectrum of experience is: “I wish I’d had this class years ago. I can take this stuff and use it tonight”.

The toughest and most impactful decisions you make in your career typically revolve around committing to an interior attack or choosing another route. Seasoned officers know the difference between "We can get it" and "It's lost".

Utilizing a simple framework that allows you build on your experiences, and those of others, you can develop an intuitive approach that grows with you throughout your career. This is not a magic class and no one becomes a great decision maker by attending a few classes and watching a few videos. The goal is to create a framework of 4 varying profiles: Rescue, Fire, Building and Tactical. These profiles allow you to keep focused on your decisions and give you the ability to draw on what you’ve learned and react to changes in the dynamic fire environment. Students will leave with tools with which to drill their troops and continue to grow in their ability to make great decisions.

The course provides an intuitive learning model that expands as you use it and gain more experience. For those with limited fireground experience, it will help to jump start their knowledge base and give them framework to evaluate more effectively right from the start.
